The way you can go
isn’t the real way.
The name you can say
isn’t the real name.
Heaven and Earth
begin in the unnamed.
Name’s the mother
of the ten thousand things.
So the unwanting soul
sees what’s hidden,
and the ever-wanting soul
sees only what it wants.
Two things, one origin,
but different in name,
whose identity is mystery?
Mystery of all mysteries!
The door to the hidden.
LaoTzu:TAO TE CHING[A book about the way and the power of the way]
Thursday, June 6, 2013
This is my first entry of the Tao Te Ching and my thoughts on it by sentence. It was chosen as my topic of discussion because it provokes me to look at things in a broader spectrum, while also encouraging humility and peace.
Tm = Tells me
1.Tm that we are limited.
2.Tm we are not capable of forming our lips to begin to utter the greatness of matter as we are limited in knowledge and wisdom. Being that heaven is a mystery we aren’t aware of the unnamed that awaits.
3.Tm we do not have a name for where heaven and earth began because we do not know how to define or describe it.
4.Tm that what the father creates is always in existence until a name gives it identity.
5.Tm your vision is narrowed by your desires, if you lack desires you gain a full spectrum.
6.Tm that I should stop putting a name to everything and just let it be what it is.
7.Tm that if heaven and earth are in reference that the greater(Heaven) is full of mystery.
8.Tm the hidden is a mystery and there is no word to describe what lies be hind the pearly white gates. It is great not knowing.
I love surprises, they keep you on your toes. I wish people full of love would organize more surprises.
